OUR PHILOSOPHY
More medication does not always mean better treatment.
When medication is appropriate, we choose the right medication for the right reason, use the lowest effective dose, and keep treatment as uncomplicated as possible. Rather than continually adding prescriptions, we work to understand what is underneath the symptoms — monitoring closely and prescribing only what is truly helpful.
We pair modern psychiatric advances with time-tested clinical practice, and never lose sight of how much of this work is simply listening.
WHAT WE DO
Comprehensive care, thoughtfully personalized
Careful evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and a collaborative relationship built around your goals — for adults and adolescents age 14 and older.
Psychiatric Evaluations
A comprehensive 60–90 minute first visit covering your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, previous treatment, daily functioning and personal goals.
Medication Management
Evidence-based prescribing with close attention to effectiveness, side effects and your own preferences — using the lowest effective dose and the simplest plan that works.
Psychotherapy
A dedicated space to work through emotional challenges, build coping strategies and strengthen relationships — often with the same psychiatrist who manages your medication.
Collaborative Care
With your permission, we coordinate with your therapist, primary care physician and other clinicians so the people caring for you are working from the same picture.
MEET OUR PSYCHIATRISTS
Experienced, compassionate, individualized care
Jacob Kaiser, MD
Board-Certified Psychiatrist
Dr. Kaiser believes exceptional psychiatric care begins with understanding the unique person sitting across from him — an approach grounded in humility, curiosity, respect and shared decision-making.
A native South Carolinian, he previously served as Medical Director of the Prisma Center for Psychiatry in Greer and has taught psychiatry residents in psychotherapy, perinatal psychiatry and addiction psychiatry.
Aaron Dedmon, MD
Board-Certified Psychiatrist
Dr. Dedmon believes meaningful psychiatric care begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms, weighing each patient’s experiences, relationships, strengths and goals alongside their diagnosis.
He served as Chief Resident at Prisma Health’s Greer Psychiatry Residency Program and has pursued additional training in TMS and electroconvulsive therapy, with extensive experience in treatment-resistant depression.

Is this the right fit?
We care for adults and adolescents age 14 and older. Care may be better provided elsewhere for anyone under 14, anyone with advanced dementia, anyone seeking treatment primarily for opioid use disorder, and anyone needing emergency, inpatient or continuous psychiatric care. If you are not sure, call us — we will help you find the right level of care.
